Ranch Manager Wanted
Full Moon Farm is a grass-fed, grass-finished beef, pastured pork, eggs, and lamb
producing farm located in the Hudson Valley. We manage the farm in a regenerative
manner focusing on pasture health and high standards of animal welfare.
As a diversified livestock farm, we currently manage 150 head of cattle for sales through our on-site Farm Store and limited outside sales. Last year we sold 23,500 pounds of our farm raised meat.
We manage 13 pastures in Gardiner and New Paltz for our animals at a stocking rate of 4 acres per cow. In 2026, we are expecting a total of 46 new calves born on pasture.
Offering an excellent benefit package of $25-$30 an hour, full employer paid health

Job Requirements:
- 3 years of Farm Management experience and 2 years of experience managing
Livestock.
- Ability to successfully manage workflow for one year-round employee and 1-2
seasonal employees.
- Familiarity with raising diversified livestock for meat production, scheduling
animals for slaughter, transporting animals, filling out cut sheets, and maintaining
good relationships with meat processors.
- Experience with calving and tagging in the field, management of breeding
schedules, bulls, and facilitating Artificial Insemination.
- Experience maintaining barbed wire and electric fences, maintaining pastures,
and a willingness to maintain good working relationships with landowners.
- Experience in identifying and treating sickness in the herds and proactively
protecting animals against disease and pests.
- Experience using low stress methods catching and handling beef cattle using
panels to create corrals, loading and driving animals in livestock trailers, and
working livestock in the shoot.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- The ability to drive vehicles (farm truck, tractors, ATV).
- Experienced in record keeping and willingness to learn and use Herd
Management Software.
- Manage website and social media.
- Manage farm store and outside vendors for the store.
- Manage customer relations and outside sales.
- Strong organizational skills and time management are necessary to proactively
manage a diverse workload.
We are looking to find someone that is highly motivated, willing to learn, works well with
others, and can grow with the farm.
The individual must be fluent in English, conversational Spanish a plus, and must
possess a valid NYS driver’s license.
Salary based on experience.
